Bonnie Louise Raatz

Bonnie L. Raatz, 72 of La Crosse, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse, after fighting a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born in La Crosse on June 24, 1944 to Walter and Dolores (Lautz) Langhofer. She married John Raatz in La Crosse on January 14, 1967. Bonnie had attended Central High School and continued her education attending nursing school in Madison. She had worked as a nurse at Gundersen Lutheran for 45 years. She loved working as a nurse, golfing, camping, time with family and friends, playing cards and going to the casino.

She is survived by her husband John of La Crosse, her children John (Stacy) Raatz of La Crosse, and their children Caitlyn and Trevor; Amy (Rick) Kujawa of Holmen, Wis. and their children Danielle (Scott) Herdeman, step grandson Aubin, Richard, and Aubryana; one sister Darlene (Joel) Urban; two sisters in law Jeneane Jacobson and Julie Ann Schroeder. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church; 4141 Mormon Coulee Rd. La Crosse. Pastor John Stennes-Spidahl will officiate. Friends may attend the visitation at the church on Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service beginning at 11:00 AM.
