Rose E. Weber

Rose E. Weber, 92 of La Crosse, passed away on Sunday February 12, 2017 at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center. She was born May 16, 1924 to James and Lonie (Weis) Houlihan in Caledonia, Minn. She married Francis Weber in 1947 at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral. She graduated from Aquinas High School in 1942. She worked for 25 years at Universal Photo Service in LaCrosse and then at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare for 15 years before her retirement in 1989.

She was a frequent parishioner at Mary Mother of the Church and was devout in her faith. She enjoyed her family, especially her great grandchildren and her sun flowers. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter Linda (Greg) Walters, granddaughter Erin (Mark) Udovich, great grandchildren Ozwin Udovich and Orin Udovich, sisters Lorraine King and Beverly (Bill) Chase, sister in law Delores Weber and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband Francis, daughter Patricia, and sons John and Michael.

A special thank you to the care givers at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center for their extraordinary care and kindness to Rose and our family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Mary Mother Of The Church Parish; 2006 Weston St. La Crosse Wis. 54601. Rev. Brian D. Konopa will officiate. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery La Crosse. Friends may call on the family Thursday morning at the church from 9:30am until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be donated in Rose’s memory.
