Dennis "Sonny" Olson

Dennis L. “Sonny” Olson, 64 of Onalaska, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Mayo Health System-La Crosse following a 2 ½ year battle with cancer. He was born May 6, 1952 in Eleva, Wisconsin to Helmer Neumann and Doris Olson.

On August 13, 1990, he married Merle Manninger in La Crosse. Sonny had worked for 10 years in ground maintenance at Cedar Creek Golf Course until ill health forced him to retire on July 14, 2009.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Merle of Onalaska; three children, two step-children, several grandchildren and step-grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, two children, a brother and a sister.

A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM Saturday, February 11 ^th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Avenue South, La Crosse.
