Karen Lynn Pedersen

Karen Lynn Pedersen, 58, of La Crosse and formerly of Viroqua, died on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. She was born on May 12, 1958 in La Crosse to Dale and Evaline (Blegen) Bernett. Karen attended Viroqua High School. She was an avid Packers fan, enjoyed cooking, and loved animals, especially her cats. Karen was fun loving and had a great sense of humor, and loved her kids.

She is survived by three children, Mitchell Pedersen, Michael Pedersen and Megan Pedersen, her father Dale (Peggy) Bernett, two brothers, Tom (Carol) Bernett and Bob Bernett, a sister Kristen (Todd) Reichert, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Ric and her mother Evaline.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse. A time to share memories of Karen will begin at 5:00 PM. Burial will take place at a later date in Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery, Westby.
