Grant D Anderson

Grant D. Anderson, 32 of La Crosse passed away at his home on Monday, January 23, 2017. He was born July 5, 1984 in Winona, MN to Patricia Anderson and Jerome Kreibich, Jr. Grant was raised in Westby and graduated from Westby High School in 2002. He then moved to La Crosse and worked as a cook for Outback Steakhouse, Famous Dave’s and was currently working as a cook for the Salvation Army at the time of his passing.

Grant was a people person and enjoyed helping others any way he could. He had a strong passion for music and loved to jam with his friends on open mic night at the Popcorn Tavern in La Crosse.

Grant is survived by his mother, Patricia Anderson of Viroqua; step brother, Jake Matchey of Viroqua; an aunt, Linda (Brad) Magnuson of DeSoto; an uncle, Ron (Patti) Anderson of Bangor; cousins, Sherri (Chad) Murray, Ryan (Kim) Magnuson, Gina (Keith) Sandvick, Jeff Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Emilie Anderson and Ethan Anderson along with his dog, Zeus. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Freida and Henry Anderson.

A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, February 1st at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse. Major Jeff Richardson of the Salvation Army will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the North Coon Prairie Cemetery, Newry, WI at a later date.
