Lois "Tiny" B. Pouzar

Lois B. “Tiny” Pouzar, 82, of La Crosse, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. She was born on February 11, 1934 to Francis and Lucille (Schaller) Gasper. Lois graduated from Bangor High School and the St. Francis Nursing School and worked for many years as a registered nurse. She married Richard “Whitey” Pouzar on February 23, 1957 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bangor. Lois loved gardening, travelling, and spending time with her family and many social groups. She also prayed at St. Rose Convent once a week.
She is survived by her children, Frank (Deb) Pouzar of Rothschild, WI, Lisa (Kurt) Pouzar-Johnson of Savage, MN, Rose (Greg Mahairas) Pouzar of Seattle, WA, Carol (Jay) Austin of Sparta, WI and John (Sarah) Pouzar of Hartford, WI, nine grandchildren, Sage, Ezekiel, Gregory, Emily, Kelly, Grace, RJ, Madelynn and Corah, her twin sister Louise “Chubby” Westley, and her brother Jim (Karen) Gasper. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2011, a granddaughter Rachel, and two sisters, Jan Meier and Dorothy Aicroth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Rev. Rick Roberts will officiate. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Rose Convent.
