Evelyn Lucille Fudge

Evelyn Lucille Keeling Fudge, 94, of La Crosse, died on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Hillview Health Care Center. She was born on September 12, 1922 in Hershey, NE to Carl Gustav and Jennie Ester (Zieganhagen) Burkland. Evelyn went to school for nursing and married Robert Lewis Keeling Sr. Together they had four children. Evelyn moved from Illinois to Denver where she worked for Coors and met Jay Fudge and they were married. Evelyn also operated a restaurant where she loved serving home cooked meals.
She is survived by three children, Robert Lewis (Laurie) Keeling Jr., Gregory (Colleen) Keeling, and Nancy Ann Green, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and two brothers, John (Louise) Glick and Rudolph (Carol) Glick. She was preceded in death by a son Nicholas Keeling, and grandson Stephen Keeling, three brothers and one sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Roncalli Newman Center with Rev. Peter Raj officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Catholic Charities.
