James M. Redenbaugh

James M. “Jim” Redenbaugh, 74 of De Soto, WI., passed away at his home while surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 23rd following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Dubuque, Iowa on June 18, 1942 to Donald and Olivia (Landis) Redenbaugh. He married Marilyn G. McCarthy on August 10,1973 in Dubuque ,IA.
Jim was an avid golfer and fisherman. He had also served the community of De Soto as a volunteer fireman and first responder for many years. While living in De Soto, Jim had owned and operated Jim’s Food Market for 11 years.
In addition to his wife Marilyn, he is survived by his children; Jude (Laura) Redenbaugh of Fort Atkinson, WI., Craig (Sue) Redenbaugh of La Crosse, Amy Witt (Thad Wuolle) of Stoddard, WI., Jodi (Willie) Malin of Barneveld, WI., nine grandchildren, one great grandchild; two brothers Kenny (Rosanne) Sheppard of Bradenton, FL. and Richard (Patty) Sheppard of Sylvis, IL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Donald “Butch” Redenbaugh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Genoa. Father Doss will officiate. Entombment will follow in the St. Joseph Mausoleum at Catholic Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call on the family Wednesday evening at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral home; 200 West Ave. South, from 5 until 7pm where a rosary will be recited at 7pm. Visitation will be held again at the church on Thursday morning from 9am until the time of services.
