John C. Euler, 79, of La Crosse, died on Monday, October 17, 2016, at the Lakeview Health Center in West Salem.
He was born in La Crosse on May 23, 1937, to John G. and Irene (Roth) Euler, and was a 1955 graduate of Aquinas High School. John worked as a painter for most of his life, taking over the family business from his father. He was an avid Packer and Badger fan and did picture framing as a hobby, framing mostly family photos and scenes of the Packers and Badgers.
John is survived by two sisters, Linda Euler and Rosalie (Wallace) Hanson, both of La Crosse; two brothers, Michael Euler of La Crosse and Phillip (Jackie) Euler of New Berlin, Wis.; a half-sister, Marie (Tom) Johnson, living in Georgia; and several nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; two half-brothers, Dwaine and Arley Roberts; and a sister-in-law, Judith Euler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 21st, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1333 So. 13th St., in La Crosse. Rev. Rick Roberts will officiate. Entombment will follow in the St. Francis of Assisi Mausoleum in the Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church.
