Margaret E Hendrickson

June 17, 1939 — September 21, 2016

Margaret Hendrickson, 77, of La Crosse Wisconsin, died peacefully September 21, 2016 at the Hillview Care Center. She was born June 17th 1939 in Galesville Wisconsin to Herman and Margaret Parker. She was an only child. She is survived by her husband Burt (also a resident of Hillview) and their one and only son-Leif.
Margaret was a substitute teacher; for the La Crosse school system. She retired early, to pursue her love of music. She was an accomplished oboist; performing with the La Crosse symphony orchestra, the UW La Crosse orchestra, the La Crosse Concert Band and the Da Capo Concert Band. After quitting the orchestra, she would often play with a handful of people; either "One on one" or with the Coulee Quintet. (To her many musician friends, my deepest sympathy) She will be remembered by many; as a kind, cheerful soul, with a keen sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.
Much thanks to the Hillview staff for their care of this remarkable woman, and much heartfelt appreciation, to the many individuals who provided her with comfort and support in her later years.
Margaret will be laid to rest at the Woodlawn cemetery. She was an avid lover of pets; particularly cats. In her memory; please consider making a donation to the humane society. Thank you.
