Janice G. Hauser

Janice G. Hauser, 80 of Onalaska, died on Saturday, September 10, 2016. She was born in La Crosse on April 25, 1936 to Elmer and Josephine (Ulrich) Meyer. She married Joseph Hauser at the Cathedral in La Crosse on June 8, 1957. She taught at Bangor Elementary School for many years and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Onalaska, WI.
Janice’s family was the most important thing in her life. She is survived by her sister Gloria (Richard “Sam”) Bauch of La Crosse; four sons, Jeff Hauser of Bahrain, Joseph (Dianne) Hauser of La Crosse, John (Anna) Hauser of Hastings, MN, Jason Hauser of Onalaska; six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lucas, Joshua (Devynne), Jacob, Matthew (Anna), Michael (Susan); four great grandchildren, Madyson, Nicholas, Atticus, Lochlan; ex-daughters in law Marilyn Fuchs and Nomy Hauser. In addition to her parents Elmer and Josephine, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 2012.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Onalaska. Monsignor Steven Kachel will officiate. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call on the family Wednesday morning from 10am until the time of Mass. Memorials may be directed to the Onalaska Care Center or the charity of the donor’s choice.
