Jerry Arnold Parrish-Holter, 23, of La Crosse, died on Monday, August 29, 2016. He was born in La Crosse on October 22, 1992, to Debbie Holter and Dave Parrish.
Jerry attended La Crosse schools including Central High School before graduating from the Challenge Academy at Fort McCoy. He was currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and employed by PerMar Security, working as a security guard at the Monroe County Courthouse in Sparta.
Jerry always took great joy in helping others and greeted everyone with his amazing smile. He loved spending time with family, especially his two nieces, and enjoyed hunting in his free time.
Jerry is survived by his mother, Debbie (Ron) Gjertsen of Onalaska; his father, Dave (Deb) Parrish of Winona; his siblings and their families, Megan Cornford, living in Arizona, Nathan Dammann of La Crosse and his son, Jordan, and Jessica (Nathan) Bell of La Crosse and their children, Jazmin, Natalie and William; and step-sisters, Kaylee and Kasi Marg and step-brother, Britton Marg. He is further survived by his maternal grandmother, Joyce Holter of La Crosse; his paternal grandmother, Jarda Parrish of La Crosse; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Arnold Holter; and his paternal grandfather, Melvin Parrish, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 6th, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. So., La Crosse. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
