Harvey C. Hoff

Harvey C. Hoff, 92, of La Crosse passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Bethany St. Joseph Care Center in La Crosse. He was born on October 28, 1923 in Stoddard, WI to Carl and Agnes (Stylen) Hoff. He married Elaine Schlicht on March 4, 1944. She preceded him in death in 2009. Harvey enjoyed many days at his cabin, a true outdoorsman, and spent countless hours in his garage repairing engines. He drove a semi thousands of miles for several trucking firms in the La Crosse area over the years.
He survived by his children Steven (Barb) Hoff of La Crescent, MN, Linda Lowenberg (Clete Ziegler) of Winona, MN and Carlyn (Norm) Ellis of La Crosse, WI, grandchildren Lori Nagle, Lisa Bakalars, Nathan Hoff, Amanda Hoff, Eric Halverson and Jeffrey (Nina) Halverson, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 2720 S. 26th St., La Crosse. Burial will follow in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Memorials are preferred to Grace Ev. Lutheran Church or Bethany St. Joseph Corp./Shelby Terrace. Harvey’s family would like to thank Shelby Terrace and the BSJ staff and residents for all the loving care you gave to our Dad. You were a blessing to him and us. A special thank you to Pandi, Brewer and all the dog’s in Dad’s life for making him smile. We are thankful to be blessed with a loving, caring, hard working Dad who was always there for us.
