Kathleen “Kate” Naegle Kauffman, 79, of Brownsville, MN, passed away quietly in her sleep on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. Kate was born on March 31, 1937 to Alfred and Kathleen Naegle. She was a 1955 graduate of Aquinas High School.
Kate is survived by her husband Mark Kauffman, four daughters, Maureen (Ben) Snodgrass, Kathy (Jeff) Holte, Erin Farrell Gilbertson, and Charlotte (Bob) Stauffer, her sisters, Judy (George) Van Voorhis, Sandy (Dennis) Gilge, Mary (Jim) Larson, and Debbie (Michael) Glenn, her brothers, Mike Naegle, Donnie (Mary) Naegle, and Tommy (Marion) Naegle. She was preceded in death by her older sister Marilyn, her parents and grandparents.
Kate was adored and loved by her husband Mark and her daughters. She loved reading and gardening. Kate retired from Serigraphic Screen Print as the office manager. She was loved by everyone who knew her.
Kate loved her grandchildren, Davy (Keely) Deters, Jordan (Cheyenne) Deters, Jesse (Rachel) Gilbertson, Lauren Stauffer, and step-grandson Ian (Devon) Stauffer, and her seven great-grandchildren, Parker, Ethan, Luna, Astaria, Elena, Lilah, and Emerson.

Her irrepressible spunkiness was appreciated by her family, and will always be remembered as an attribute that served her well throughout her life.
