Marilyn A. Hauser

Marilyn A. Hauser, 83, of La Crosse died on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Bethany Riverside Care Center in La Crosse following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on May 10, 1933 in Woodstock IL, to Edwin and Eleanor (First) Martine. Her family moved to Chaseburg, WI where Marilyn grew up as a child. She married Ronald Blummer in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1983. In 1993 she married Ralph Hauser and he preceded her in death in 2001.

Marilyn worked as a floral designer for many local floral shops including: La Crosse Floral, Sunshine Floral and finished her career at Historic Salem Floral Shop in West Salem, WI.

Marilyn is survived by her son Terry (Dina) Blummer of Cottage Grove, MN and their daughter Katie Blummer of Moline IL; a brother Jack Janice) Martine of Racine, WI and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands Ronald Blummer and Ralph Hauser; and 3 brothers Lawrence, Gene and Ronald Martine and a sister Delores Bakken; 3 nephews Larry Bakken, Tom and Patrick Martine, and a niece Karen Haddeman.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 14, 2016 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Service in La Crosse. The Rev. Billy Dodge will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5:30 p.m. till 7:30 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Private family burial will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
