George “Mike” Michael Harper, 68, of Onalaska, died on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. He was born on August 4, 1947 in Black River Falls to George and Beverly (McCormick) Harper. Mike married Linda Liles in 1969. He worked as a truck driver for Robinson Trucking, Gateway Foods, Fleming, and Hotline until his retirement. He enjoyed his man-cave, his pool, cars, fishing, and was an avid Packer fan. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and his dog Charlie.
He is survived by his wife Linda, five children, David Cullmann, Anita Rice, Nicholas Harper, Heath Harper, and Matt Harper, seven grandchildren, Kyle, Jada, Jordan, Zach, Bailey, Masen, and Madisen, his mother Beverly, and a brother Ryan Harper. He was preceded in death by his father George E. Harper.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 24th, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Olivet Beacon of Light Lutheran Church. Pastor Luanne Sorenson will officiate. Burial will be in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
