Carolyn K. Girard

Carolyn Kay Moe – Girard, 67, of La Crosse passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Bethany – St. Joseph Care Center in La Crosse. She was born on January 6, 1949 in La Crosse to Ralph and Elnora (Getter) Moe. Carolyn was a waitress for many years in the La Crosse area. She inherited her nickname “Frog” at a Christmas party for the Tosa Club. She then did home health care up until the time she was unable to do so. Ted Emery was her devoted companion for over 30 years. She did not have any children but her four cats were her babies. She loved them dearly and spoiled them rotten.
She is survived by three sisters Linda L. (Al) Rogge of Pell Lake, WI, Barbara M. Yanske of La Crescent, MN and Darlene L. (Willie) McCoy of La Crosse, one brother Gary W. Moe of Tomah, WI, companion Ted Emery of La Crosse along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert G. Moe.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Stoddard Cemetery in Stoddard, Wisconsin. Pastor Chris Crye will officiate. Following the service refreshments will be served at Neighborhood City Church, 525 S. 7th St., La Crosse. The Schumacher – Kish Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
