Jonathan Davis, Sr.

Jonathan “Uncle Joe” Davis, Sr., 64 of La Crosse passed away Friday, February 26, 2016 at his home. He was born August 28, 1951 in Dermott, AR, the 3rd of 14 children to George and Loveviney (Riley) Davis.
Uncle Joe loved to sing and dance, cooking and sitting on his porch during the summer months with his family and friends. He enjoyed the many pleasures in life including eating greens and okra and taking good care of his sisters.
Survivors include his son, Jonathan (Monique) Davis, Jr.; three granddaughters, Amaya, Janae and Harmoni Davis; 11 brothers and sisters; Jerry “Sonny” (Bonnie) Butler, Jessie Davis, Julia (Ed) Johnson, Billie Davis, Linda (Robert) Rand, Rose (John) Davis, Brenda Davis, Jeralean (LeRoy) Smith, Eloise (Deandre) Hudson, George Davis, Jr. and Loreen (Robert) Davis; and Aunt, Eloise Jones and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Virginia and Sheila Renee.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 4th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse with Rev. Chris Crye officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
