Patricia Bottger

Patricia A. Bottger, age 84 died peacefully in Onalaska, WI at her home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, February 5, 2016. She was born January 31, 1932 in Kingsford, MI to Barney and Rose Egan. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1950.
On November 22, 1952 she married William Bottger a resident of Crystal Falls, MI. Due to Bill’s employment for the Milwaukee Road Railroad the family enjoyed living in several communities including Plymouth, WI, Coleman, WI, Marinette, WI and finally settling in Onalaska in 1984.
Pat had worked for a number of years as a telephone operator for Michigan Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Parish in Onalaska. Pat was a homemaker and loved to bake and spending time at the family cabin in Lake Elwood, WI. For the past 63 years she and Bill enjoyed celebrating their anniversary by sharing cheeseburgers together. She was a sweet, caring and spirited woman to those lucky to know her and will be greatly missed.
Pat is survived by her loving husband, Bill of Onalaska; four children, Joe (Terri) Bottger of Grove City, OH, Susan (Larry) Atwell and Cynthia (Joey) Johnson both of Las Vegas, NV and Patti Jo (Steve) Horton of Onalaska; eight grandchildren, Hannah, Maria, Chelsea, Hailey, Colton, Allison, Tanner and Jack. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters; Colleen Hunt, Elaine Rice and Audrey Williams.
A Catholic Mass for Pat will be celebrated in July of 2016 in Iron Mountain, Michigan and will be announced by the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 907 Sand Lake Road, Onalaska. Memorials are suggested to Catholic Charities, 3710 East Ave. S. La Crosse, WI 54601.
