Carol L. Schutz

Carol L. Schutz, 54, of La Crosse, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.
Carol was born in La Crosse on October 2, 1961, to Charles K. and Amy Rose (Jacobson) Johnson. She attended La Crosse schools and was a 1979 graduate of La Crosse Central High School. She married Tom Schutz on September 17, 1983 and they later divorced.
Carol loved cooking and family gatherings and especially loved spending time with her grandson, Hayden.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (age 30) of Onalaska, Joe (age 27) of La Crosse, and Josh (age 24) of Mankato, Minn.; her grandson, Hayden; her father, Charlie Johnson of La Crosse; two brothers, Randy (Heidi) Johnson and David (Wendy) Johnson, both of La Crosse; a brother-in-law, Dennis Potaracke of La Crosse; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her mother, Amy; and a sister, Sandy Potaracke.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 30th, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. So., La Crosse. Rev. Dr. Dennis C. Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park.
