Selma A. Carrier, 90, of La Crosse, died on Saturday, December 19, 2015. She was born on April 13, 1925 in Caledonia, MN to Louis and Bertha (Hahn) Klinski. She married Willis Carrier on November 29, 1947. Selma enjoyed gardening and playing cards with her friends. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she served with the Ladies Aid.
Selma is survived by a daughter, Lynette (James) Viner, a daughter-in-law Vicki and a son-in-law Al Wagner, eight grandchildren, Brooke Viner, Joseph Viner, Kyle (Alex) Viner, Nicole (Kevin) Loomis, Becky (Nate) Selmer, Lucas Carrier, Brian (Jeni) Carrier and Kimberly Carrier, five great-grandchildren, Justin Mason, James Viner, Kat La Croix, Samantha Rohling and Elizabeth Rohling, a sister Irene Sitze, and a brother-in-law Jim Snyder. She was preceded in death by her husband Willis, her parents, an infant son Joseph, a daughter LeeAnn Wagner, a son Lonnie Carrier, and a son Lyndon Carrier and his wife Marilynn.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1201 Avon Street. Pastor David Leistekow will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse on Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
