Diane M. Vieaux

Diane M. Vieaux, 70, of Onalaska, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Bluffview Memory Care in Holmen.
She was born in La Crosse on February 4, 1945, to Norton and Dorothy (McCabe) Foss. She married Robert J. Vieaux in 1964 in La Crosse and they later divorced.
Diane was a 1963 graduate of Aquinas High School then attended the La Crosse School of Beauty and had a brief career as a beautician. She then owned and operated Bob’s Archery along with her husband for nineteen years. Following that, Diane worked for Gateway/Fleming and Festival Foods before retiring.
In her free time, Diane loved being active outdoors. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, and cross country skiing. She also enjoyed traveling with friends, reading, and attending her grandkids sporting events. She volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters for many years and was active at St. Patrick’s parish where she helped serve communion during at home visits with parishioners.
Diane is survived by three sons, Scott Vieaux and Rob (Chris) Vieaux, both of Onalaska, and Mike Vieaux of Baraboo, Wis.; five grandchildren, Tony, Brooke, Taylor, Kirsten and Shani; two sisters, Carolyn (Vernell) Hesselberg of Onalaska, and LaVonne (Emil) Kark of La Crosse; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ronald Foss; and her former husband, Robert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 18th, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1031 Main St., Onalaska. Msgr. Steven Kachel will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Canton, Minn. Family and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday at the church. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers and will be donated in Diane’s memory.
