Irene R. Hanson

Irene R. Hanson, 84 of La Crosse, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015at the Lakeview Health Center in West Salem. She was born in La Crosse on February 6, 1931 to William and Mary (Kerska) Rediske. She married Milton Hanson at First Evangelical Lutheran Church of La Crosse and he preceded her in death in 2002. Irene had been a lifetime member at First Ev. Lutheran Church and had been very active in Mother’s Club, Ladies Aide group and Bible classes. Many of Irene’s happiest times were spent with her sister Alice on their many adventures. She also had many wonderful memories of happy times spent with her granddaughter Brittany.
She is survived by her one son Mark (Kari) Hanson of Onalaska, WI, her granddaughter Brittany Hanson, her great granddaughter Henley, one sister Alice Ingham of La Crosse and one brother Frank Rediske also of La Crosse. In addition to her parents and her husband Milton, she was preceded in death by two brothers Arthur and John.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church of La Crosse. Pastor Roger Sachs will officiate. Burial will follow at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park, Town of Shelby. Friends may call on the family Wednesday morning at the church from 10:30 am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to either Luther High School or First Evangelical Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Lakeview Health Center for the kind dedicated care they gave Irene the past 3 ½ years.
