Luann Marie Mckenzie

LuAnn Marie McKenzie, 61 of Hokah, MN, died at her home on Sunday, December 6, 2015. She was born in Decorah, IA, on September 12, 1954 to Marvin and Colletta (Cole) Vick. She married Daniel C. McKenzie in Decorah on June 18, 1977. LuAnn had worked as a teacher at St. Peter’s Catholic School in Hokah for twenty two years. In addition to her husband Dan of Hokah, she is survived by one son Jonathan (Sarah) McKenzie of La Crosse and their three children Jack, Luke and Scarlett. She is further survived by two sisters Marilyn (Ron) Bonjean of Milwaukee, WI and Nancy Vick of Edmonton, Alberta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stillborn son Daniel Scott McKenzie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2pm on Friday, December 11, 2015 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Hokah. Rev. Pratap Reddy Salibindla will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Hokah. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church on Friday from 12:30 pm until the time of Mass. Memorials may be directed to St. Peter’s Catholic School.
