Norma E. Wold

Norma E. Wold, 89, of La Crosse, died on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at the Gundersen Health System of La Crosse.
She was born in Menomonee, Wis., on April 7, 1926, to Louis and Ellen (Thompson) Moritz. She was a graduate of Menomonee High School. On July 10, 1944, Norma married Allan I. Wold in Menomonee. Allan preceded her in death on April 7, 1976.
Norma was employed by Professional Food Management at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for many years before retiring. She was a long-time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in La Crosse where she was active in WELCA. In her free time, Norma volunteered at Causeway, enjoyed reading and knitting, and loved spending time with family and friends. When she was able, she also enjoyed taking quiet walks around La Crosse or hiking the trails around Sedona, Ariz. when visiting her daughter. Norma was also a very devoted Packer fan.
She is survived by a daughter, Judith Wold (fiancé, Kirk Warman) of Sedona, Ariz.; a son, Gary (Debra) Wold of Onalaska; a granddaughter, Mariah Wold-Jendro (Michael Jendro) and their daughter, Gabrielle Jendro of St. Paul, Minn.; her “adopted” son, Jim Stadtler of La Crosse and his children Jessica and Mitchell; and one nephew, Marlin (Kaki) Block of Rothschild, Wis. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Alan Wold; and a sister, Gladys (Herbert) Block.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, December 2nd, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 4141 Mormon Coulee Road, La Crosse. Rev. Harald Bringsjord will officiate. Burial will take place in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army, the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation, or the American Heart Association in Norma’s memory.
