Jerry H. Oldendorf, 69, of Nodine, Minnesota passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. He was born on April 16, 1946 in Winona, Minnesota to Harold and Betty (Ronnenberg) Oldendorf. Jerry worked at the Hwy 43 stone quarry for many years as a master mechanic. He also owned and operated his own trucking company for 10 years. He enjoyed fixing and racing stock cars, farming and raising pigs. He also enjoyed sitting around campfires with family and friends smoking cigars. He had an ultimate love for John Deere tractors.
He is survived by his partner June Feller, his children Dennis (Michelle) Oldendorf of Buffalo, City, WI Brenda (Dave) Markegard of Peterson, MN Daryl Oldendorf (Heather) of Rochester, MN Angela (Steve) Wenger of La Crosse, WI Rick (Katrina) Feller of Joplin, MO and Kevin (Amy) Feller of Rushford, MN, fourteen grandchildren, three sisters Jean Beneke of Waubay, S.D., Judy (John) Woodard of Ridgeway, MN and Joy Ewing-Fabian of Pickwick, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Sherry Oldendorf, a grand-daughter Miranda Oldendorf and a brother-in-law Dave Beneke.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Schumacher – Kish Funeral & Cremation Services, 111 South Oak St., La Crescent. Pastor James Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bush Cemetery, Ridgeway, Minnesota. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
