Loren Dale Ambuehl

Loren D. “Dale” Ambuehl, 85 of La Crescent, MN, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Gundersen Medical Center, La Crosse. He was born in Durand, WI, on December 2, 1929 to Elmer and Emma (Salvisberg) Ambuehl. On June 25, 1949 he married Wilma J. Zumach. Dale had worked at Trane Company for 37 years and was a member of the Trane 25 year club. He retired in 1990.
In addition to his wife Wilma of La Crescent, he is survived by his eight children; Ronald Ambuehl of Twin Bluffs, MN, Bob (Karen) Ambuehl of La Crescent, Richard (Pennie) Ambuehl of La Crosse, Steven Ambuehl of Denton, TX, Scott (Erin) Ambuehl of Houston, MN, Martin (Debbie) Ambuehl of Houston, MN, Karen (Rich) Jandt of West Salem, WI, Karla (Allen) Wood of Spearfish, SD; nine grandchildren, Tonya (Dave) Guadiz, Chris Ambuehl, Matt Ambuehl, Beth Ambuehl, Angela Jandt, Jessica (Cody)Williams, Cassandra Jandt, Phillipe Nephew, Sabreena Nephew, two step grandchildren; Jordan Holter, Rachel Schuttenhelm; step sister Gayle Bachman and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step mother and one brother Donald Ambuehl.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, La Crescent chapel, 111 So. Oak St. Burial will follow in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, La Crescent. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 3 until 6 pm and again on Monday from 10am until the time of services.
