Lynne C. Arnett

Lynne Charlotte Arnett, 67 of rural LaCrescent passed away October 14, 2015 surrounded by her family. Lynne was born September 14, 1948 to Donald and Donna (Jenkins) Arnett. She graduated as valedictorian of the first graduating class at LaCrescent High School in 1966. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Winona State University, and returned to LaCrescent High School to teach. She later entered the masters program in English Literature at Winona. She was raised in the South Ridge EUB, United Methodist Church, and later was a member of the Ridgeway Methodist Church.
Lynne had a love for nature, animals and the land that led her to return to the family farm, where she farmed with her siblings, and became an excellent dairy herdsman. She had a passion for music, and was a true audiophile. She loved her cats, and provided a home to many rescue animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Vern Arnett and stepfather, Ralph Arnett. She is survived by a sister Kaye (David Bothe) Arnett, a brother Lee (Mari Price) Arnett, and many loving cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, October, 24, 2015 at South Ridge United Methodist Church, rural La Crescent. Rev. Mark Bengtson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of service.
