Milton Frederick Mosher, 92, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 11, 2015. He was born on December 22, 1922 in La Crosse and grew up in surrounding communities. He served in the US Navy from 1942-1946. Milt married Evelyn Hagen on June 15, 1947 and they were married for 28 years until she passed away in 1975. He had worked at Trane Company for 33 years until he retired in 1985. In retirement, Milt had plenty of time for woodworking, his special hobby. He was also an avid bowler and could be seen around town walking or riding his bicycle, always taking the time to stop and enjoy new people he would meet along the way. Most of all, Milt loved spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed morning breakfasts at Rosie’s and his Saturday lunches at The Barrel Inn. He touched many lives with his special joy, sweetness and helpful nature.
Milt is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Tom) Larson and Julie Mosher of La Crosse, his brother Clayton Mosher of Onalaska, his sister-in-law Maxine Mosher of La Crosse, and his many beloved nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, brothers Myron and John, and sisters Mary Morgenweck and Lorraine Balmer.
