Dolores S. Amundson

Dolores S. “Dee” Amundson, 84 of La Crosse, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Bethany Riverside Nursing Facility in La Crosse. She was born in Barre Mills, WI, on April 29, 1931 to Fritz and Emma (Schwier) Niemeier. She married Richard L. Amundson in La Crosse on May 23, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1999. Dolores had been a member of the Hill and Valley Garden Club and throughout the years was a member at First Evangelical Lutheran Church of La Crosse where she was very active in many groups.
She is survived by her two daughters Diane (Dan) Kromke of Parma, Ohio, Karen (Patrick) Brady of Sonoma, CA, two grandchildren Dillon (Emily) Clements of Denver, CO, and Rebecca Clements of Pine Island, MN. In addition to her husband Richard, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church of La Crosse. Pastor Roger Sachs will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Garden Of Peace Mausoleum at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park in the town of Shelby. Friends may call on the family Wednesday morning at the church from 9:30am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
