Rose Ann Schmitt

Rose Ann (Roberts) Schmitt, 63, of Sparta and formerly of La Crosse passed away October 4, 2015 in her sleep peacefully with no pain surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in La Crosse on August 7, 1952 to Delores (Weber) and James Roberts. Rose was a beloved member of the community and involved in various activities such as a reading club and community groups. Rose devoted her life to her family and brought joy and happiness to all that she met. She had a selfless heart and love for everyone and also for all animals. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Rose was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Rose is survived by her husband, Lairn Schmitt Sr. and their three children; Tracy (Schmitt) Cleveland, Linda (Schmitt) Short and her children , Samantha and Bryant Short and great-grandchild, Gabriella Weidner and Lairn Jr. (Trista) Schmitt and their children; Michael and Raeanna Schmitt. Rose is also survived by her mother, Delores Roberts as well as her sisters; Judy (Roberts) Jim Slaback and Mary Roberts. She is preceded in death by her father; James Roberts, brothers; John and David Roberts and her sisters; Doris and Sue Roberts. Private burial will take place in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park , La Crosse.
