Gerald J. Fiers, 78, of La Crosse, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Hillview Health Care Center. He was born on November 2, 1936 in La Crosse to Fred and Elizabeth (Schlicht) Fiers. He married Bettina Newburg on June 27, 1964 in Coon Valley, WI. Gerald enjoyed the outdoors especially bike riding.
He is survived by his wife Tina, a son Patrick Fiers of La Crosse, one sister Vicki Bloczynski of La Crosse, two brothers Robert Fiers of La Crosse and Fred ‘Bud’ (JoAnne) Fiers of La Crosse, a special niece Stephanie Bloczynski – June, along with other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marlene Fiers. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Hillview Health Care Center for the care given to Gerald.
In keeping with Gerald’s wishes there will be no services. The Schumacher – Kish Funeral & Cremation Services, La Crosse Chapel is assisting the family
