He was born in La Crosse on April 30, 1928, to Charles W. and Mary (Chupita) Stellick. He attended La Crosse schools and was a 1947 graduate of Aquinas High School where he was an accomplished athlete; excelling at track and speed skating. Chuck and Jene moved back to La Crosse where Chuck worked as a driver for Pepsi and as a tool and die maker for Trane Company for a short time. He then worked for the La Crosse Post Office as a letter carrier for almost 40 years before retiring.
Chuck was always friendly and outgoing and it was not unusual for a new acquaintance to become an instant friend. He was well-liked and respected by all who knew him. He was a skilled hunter and fisherman and enjoyed taking hunting and fishing trips to Alaska, Canada, and even Argentina. Chuck enjoyed golfing from time to time and loved to garden. He was a past member of the Catholic Sokols and the Fraternal Order of Elks.
Chuck is survived by his children, Charles B. Stellick and his wife, Cathy, of Hastings, Minn., Nancy Stellick of Minneapolis, Elaine Stellick-White and her husband, Keith White, of St. Paul, Minn., Suzanne Lynch of Rockford, Minn., and Annette Stellick and her husband, Rodney Gibson, of Brentwood, Tenn., five grandchildren, Oliver (Dana) and Adam Lynch, and Portia, Paige and Gavin Gibson; one great granddaughter, Lydia Lynch; a sister, Marion (Steve) Pavela of La Crosse; one brother, Jack (Carol) Stellick of La Crosse; and many nieces and nephews.
