Ann B. Schaller

September 13, 1917 — September 3, 2015

Ann B. (Spagl) Schaller, 97 of Monona, WI and formerly of Galesville, WI passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015, 10 days short of her 98th birthday. She was born September 13, 1917 to the late Michael and Mary (Potracke) Spagl. Ann resided at Heritage Senior Complex in Monona, WI.
On September 11, 1937 she married J. Arthur Schaller and he preceded her in death in December of 2002. Art and Ann were farmers their entire life. They started in Onalaska and then moved to Ettrick and then to Galesville. Ann loved the outdoors and was very proud of her many flower and vegetable gardens.
Ann is survived by a son, James D. (Lucy) Schaller of Pahrump, NV; daughters, Marilyn (Larry) Clark of Nekoosa, WI, Georgine (Vernal) Anderson of Seymour, WI and Lucy J. Sheehy of Sun Prairie, WI; her sister, Marie (John) Heller of West Salem, WI and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Art, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marlene Petrek; a brother, Ben Spagl; a son-in-law, Robert Bates and a grandson, Eric Rawling.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 8th at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 1032 Caledonia Street, La Crosse with Rev. Robert A. Schaller serving as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass
