He was born on June 17, 1928, at the family home (Fauver Hill Farm) in Onalaska, to Harry and Lena (Borcherding) Pralle. He was united in the blessing of marriage to Beverly Joyce Valentine on September 16, 1950. Lester will part from his loved ones for a little while – his wife, Beverly; children, Diane (Douglas) Beitlich, Jeffery (Johanna) Pralle, and Suzanne (Douglas) Stallman; grandchildren, Dana (Paul) Hoffmann, Lisa (Carlos) Carcamo, Maria (Phillip) Johnson, Elizabeth (Dallas) Bruring, Caleb, Joshua and Andrew Pralle, Joseph (Aarica) Stallman, Heather (Noah) Karow, Mary Stallman, and Ruth (Ted) Halderson; great grandchildren, Lucius, Alette and Beau Stallman, Harper and Rayce Bruring, Henry Lester Karow, and Niko Carcamo; and step great grandson, Dakota Hoffmann. He is also survived by his brother, Bernard Pralle, and many nieces and nephews. Lester was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Rudy and Theodore Pralle.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 5th, at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 1201 Main St., in Onalaska, with a reception to follow the service in the church’s fellowship hall. Pastor William Bader and Pastor Joshua Bodden will officiate. Private family burial will be held in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park, La Crosse. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Jesus Cares Ministry, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and School or Luther High School.
