Edna Zeuner

Edna Zeuner, 91, of La Crosse, died on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Hillview Health Care Center. She was born on February 7, 1924 in Manchester, England to William and Mary (Sharpe) Ross. Edna worked in the pay corps writing paychecks for the British Army during WWII, which is where she met her husband Homer who was stationed there with the US Army Air Corps. They were married on July 17, 1944. She was Viroqua, Wisconsin’s first British bride. Edna started her profession as a florist at Hillcrest Greenhouse in Viroqua. She was a longtime member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1920, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, La Crosse, and the VFW Post 3032 Ladies Auxiliary in Viroqua. Edna also volunteered for numerous organizations.
She is survived by a son, Alan (Christine) Zeuner of Oregon, WI, three grandchildren, Brittany, Lee and Joseph Zeuner, and two great-grandchildren, Elliott and London. She was preceded in death by her husband Homer in 2014
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1st, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Pastor Harald Bringsjord will officiate. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum, Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Coulee Region Humane Society or Women of the Moose.
