Judith Jones

Judith A. (Been) Jones, 71, of Onalaska, WI, formerly of Westby, WI passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in her home on June 22, 2015. Judy was born to Blaine and Elaine (Luckasson) Jothen on April 9, 1944. Judy married the love of her life and best friend, Rick, on July 4, 2006, at a private ceremony at her sister’s home. Judy enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, playing games with family and all things ELVIS.
Judy is survived by her father, Blaine; her husband, Rick of Onalaska, WI, children Cheryl (Damian) Gilkes of Onalaska, WI, Tim Been and special friend, Michele Kukula, of Lewisburg, TN, and Lisa (Ken) McLees of Viroqua, WI, stepchildren Sandy Jones of Norwalk, WI, Ed Nalick of La Crosse, WI, and Chad Jones of Galesville, WI. Judy was the “grammy” to Bryan, Emily, Leah, Ashton, Cadence, Jake, Carson, Alexis, and Ashley. She is also survived by her siblings, Duane (Margaret) Jothen of Cashton, WI, and Diane (Jerry) Hoch of Holmen, WI. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Schumacher- Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. So., La Crosse. Entombment of her cremated remains will take place at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park.
