Linda L. Amann, 84 of Onalaska died on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Bethany-Riverside Nursing Facility. She was born September 3, 1930 in La Crosse to Charles and Leona (Hanke) Vodraska and graduated from Central High School in 1948. On July 27, 1949 she married Wayne Amann and he preceded her in death on February 23, 1994.
Linda worked at Gundersen Clinic for many years in the Medical Records Department, where she enjoyed lifelong friendships with several of her co-workers. She loved baking and cooking and especially spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Linda is survived by a son, Steven Amann of Onalaska; three grandchildren, Alisha (Joe) Morgan of Kansas City, MO, Brandon Amann of Onalaska and Tyra (Matt) Stapleton of Onalaska; three great-grandchildren, Ashton Amann, Josie Morgan and Nora Beth Stapleton; a sister, Phyllis Traff of La Crescent; former daughter-in-law, Janet Amann of La Crosse and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Wayne she was preceded in death by a daughter, Beth Sibilrud in 2009 and a sister, Faye LeJeune.
A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held 11:30 AM Monday, June 29th at Zion Evangelical Church, Brownsville, MN with Rev. Jason Brannan officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 10:30 AM until the time of services. A luncheon will be served following the service. Burial will be held in the Onalaska City Cemetery at a later date. Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of Onalaska is assisting the family.
