Grace Mae Herold

Grace Mae Herold, 85, of La Crosse, died on Monday, June 01, 2015 at the Bethany St. Joseph Care Center. She was born on June 29, 1929 in La Crosse to Henry and Alberta (Whitbeck) Thompson. Grace was a graduate of Logan High School. She married Robert Herold on October 9, 1950. Grace taught Sunday school at Trinity Lutheran Church and was a cook at Pleasant Valley School. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening and ceramics.
Grace is survived by her son, Dane (Dawn) Herold, a grandson Robert, two great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Wyatt, two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Thompson and Bernice Hellwig, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, a son Robin, her parents, a brother Robert and her grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse. Pastor Erik Feig will officiate. Burial will be in the Chipmunk Coulee Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
