Audrey R Mccown

Audrey R. McCown, 93 of Onalaska, WI, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015. She was born in La Crosse on February 25, 1922 to George and Margaret (Nelson) Wolfe. She married John “Jack” McCown on October 10, 1953 in La Crosse. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2008. She had worked in retail sales through most of her life in La Crosse. Throughout her life she enjoyed sewing, shopping and watching the grandchildren and great grandchildren in various activities and family get togethers. Family and friends were very important to her and a big part of her life.
Audrey is survived by her two sons, Russell (Gretchen) Brinkman, Kerry (Kathryn) Brinkman; one daughter Sharon (Douglas) Langrehr, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Jack, she was preceded in death by one sister Carol and one brother Bob.
Memorial services will be held at 11am on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in La Crosse. Pastor Erik Feig will officiate. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call on the family at the church on Thursday from 10am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used in Audrey’s memory.
