Janet J. Stilwell

Janet J. (Worman) Stilwell, 80, of Genoa, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in rural De Soto, Wis., on January 11, 1935, to Carl and Ruth (Sidie) Worman.
Janet is survived by her husband of 60 years, John “Jack” Stilwell; and seven children, Joan Stilwell (friend, Mike Kay) of Viroqua, Wis., John (Pat) Stilwell of De Soto, Wis., Jill (Gregg) Thompson of La Crosse, Jeanette (Rick) Grimsled of DeSoto, Judy (Randy) Berra of Genoa, Joseph (Erika) Stilwell of Long Grove, Iowa, and Jadd (Evelyn) Stilwell of Onalaska. Janet was also the Grandmother to nineteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Paul Worman of La Crosse and Don (Diane) Worman of De Soto; one sister, Peggy (Larry) Cox of Onalaska; nieces and nephews; and many loving friends. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ruth Worman; and by a sister, Betty Hanson, a sister-in-law Patricia Worman, and a brother-in-law, Virgil Hanson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 30th, at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in La Crosse. Pastor Jonathan Rimmert will officiate. A reception will follow the service at the church then burial will take place in the Stoddard Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church to be used for the Scholarship Fund or Missions, or to the organization of the donor’s choice.
