Elayne M. Weber

Elayne M. Weber, 91 of La Crosse died on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Bethany-St. Joseph Care Center. She was born April 28, 1924 in La Crosse to Adolph and Ellen (Hermanson) Wrobel and attended Central High School.
On April 30, 1941 she married John Weber in La Crosse and he preceded her in death on January 14, 2008. Elayne had worked with her husband for many years at Weber’s Bar in La Crosse until they retired in 1990. She loved reading and sewing but her greatest love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Elayne is survived by two daughters; Sharon (Julio) Cortez of Upland, CA and Kathy (Bill) Leach of La Crosse; four grandchildren, Theresa (Arthur) Elias of Hesperia, CA, John Cortez of Upland, CA, Kim Leach and Dan (Joanna) Leach both of La Crosse; three great-grandchildren, Natalie, Savannah and Melanie Leach all of La Crosse and a very special niece, Sandy Miller of La Crosse. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Phyllis Fregin.
Elayne’s family would like to express a special thank you to the entire staff at Bethany-St. Joseph Care Center for all their loving care, and to the staff on the 7th floor at Mayo Health System for their wonderful care as well.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 13th at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in La Crosse with Rev. Jonathan Rimmert officiating. Burial will follow in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Memorials may be sent to Grace Ev.
