Patricia M. Solberg

Patricia M. Solberg, 79 of La Crescent, MN died on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. She was born March 17, 1936 in Spring Grove, MN to Gilman and Minnie (Aasum) Myrah. She graduated from Spring Grove High School in 1954 and attended Luther College in Decorah IA.
On December 27, 1958 she married Charles Solberg in Spring Grove and he preceded her in death on March 30, 1997. Pat had worked at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN; Choates Department Store in Winona, MN and several Department Stores in La Crosse including Doerflingers and Hebergers. She was an active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in La Crescent, Applefest and the La Crescent Eagles Auxiliary. Pat’s greatest loves were her family and her return trips to the family farm in Spring Grove. She also enjoyed the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.
Pat is survived by a son, Todd (Nancy) Solberg of Wisconsin Dells, WI; three grandchildren, Kassandra (Matt) Fries of Apple Valley, MN, Nolan Solberg (Aljona Koshelieva) of Lake Delton, WI and Erika (Dan) Urban of Eau Claire, WI; four sisters, Eloise Hoff of Preston, MN, Norma (Jack) Munson of Edina, MN, Ethelyn (Paul) Gensmer of Caledonia, MN and Margie Parkos of Greely, CO, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-in-law, Earl Hoff and Bill Parkos.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 8th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 21 N. Hill Street, La Crescent with Rev. Kent Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 5-7 P.M. and again on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
