Gerald D. Walcker

Gerald D. Walcker, 77 of Holmen, WI and formerly of Hokah, MN died on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Bethany-Riverside Nursing Facility in La Crosse. He was born December 12, 1937 in Brownsville, MN to Rudolph and Magdalena (Reinhart) Walcker. On October 19, 1957 he married Phyllis Dolle at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Hokah.
Jerry was a small business owner in Hokah for many years and later drove semi-truck for 20 years. He ended his working career at Ray Hutson Chevrolet in La Crosse. Jerry was a “Good Guy” who always had a kind word and a little joke. He would help anyone with anything at any time. He lived and loved his wife and family.
In addition to his wife Phyllis, he is survived by two sons; Tim and Bob Walcker both of La Crosse; a daughter, Lori (Tom) Deal of Luck, WI; four grandchildren, Leann and Samantha Deal, Kyle and Kathy Walcker; a great-grandchild, Leon Walcker; a sister-in-law, Carol Walcker of Hokah, MN and several wonderful nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Walcker; three sisters, Shirley Walcker, Lavonne Kearns and Susan Soland, along with two brothers, Robert and Donald Walcker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 16th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Holmen with Rev. John Parr and Rev. Pratap Reddy Salibindla officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Hokah. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
