Cynthia "Cindy" E. Silke

Cynthia E. “Cindy” Silke, 74 of Holmen,passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.

She was born in La Crosse on October 28, 1940 to Joseph and Evelyn(Roettger) Johnson. She married Bill C. Silke in Alden, Iowa, on June 26, 1973.

In addition to her husband Bill of Holmen, Cindy is survived by her children; Roger (Vickie) Johnson of West Salem, Teri Johnson of La Crosse, Tina (David) Taylor-Tyler of West St. Paul, Minn., Lloyd Taylor Jr. of La Crosse, Stacey (Tyson) Stackhouse of Byron, Minn., seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister Audrey Hickey of Madison, Wis., one brother John Johnson of Sparta, Wis. and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Barbara and one brother Joseph.

Memorial services will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crosse chapel; 200 West Ave. South. Pastor Harald Bringsjord will officiate. Friends may call on the family Saturday morning from 10am until the time of services.
