Anita Virginia Moor, 90, formerly of Nodine, MN, died on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Golden Living Center, La Crescent. She was born on October 13, 1924 in Nodine to Frank and Emma (Huebner) Moldenhauer. Anita graduated from Winona Senior High School. She married Marvin Moor on May 16, 1948 in St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Nodine. She ran Moldenhauer’s Store in Nodine with her husband Marvin for many years. Anita liked her rose garden and playing cards. She was a big Minnesota Twins fan and enjoyed wintering in South Padre Island.
She is survived by four children, Myrna Tesch of Canby, MN, Dawn (Ken) Hemker of Barre Mills, WI, Michael (Linda) Moor of Nodine, and Joan L. Moor of Winona, seven grandchildren, Monica (Rick) DeBlois of St. Peter, MN, Michelle (Tom) Ries of Sioux Falls, SD, Michael Tesch of Canby, MN, Ryan (Allison) Hemker of Mankato, MN, William (Serena) Moor of Nodine, Robert (Lori) Moor of Nodine, and Douglas Moor of Nodine, nine great-grand-children, four great-great-grandchildren, and a grandson-in-law, James (Jennifer) Lockman of Rockland, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, a granddaughter Melissa Lockman, three sisters, Freida Stueve, Emma Steve, and Milda Bateman, two brothers, F. Lloyd Moldenhauer and Ralph Moldenhauer, a son-in-law Marvin Tesch, and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Entringer and Marian Randall.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Nodine, MN. Pastor Dennis Harbach will officiate. Burial will be in the Hiler Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crescent on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
