Margaret J. Van Tol

Margaret J. (Hamilton) Van ToI, of La Crosse, went to be with her Savior in her Eternal Home in Heaven on February 22, 2015. Margaret, age 90, was born March 26, 1924, on French Island to Samuel and Elda (Jolivette) Hamilton. Margaret was born again on August 13, 1937, trusting Christ as her personal Savior, after reading Isaiah 53:6. "All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned everyone to his own way; And the Lord hath laid on Him (Jesus) the sin of us all."

She graduated from Logan High School in 1942 and Coleman Technical School. She was united in marriage to Paul VanTol on April 7, 1945.

She is survived by one son, Rodney (Sandy) VanTol, La Crosse, two daughters, Paula (Mike) Fredin, New London, WI and Karen (Duane) Osley, Holmen, WI, six grandchildren, Tracy Smith, Joshua (Stacy) Osley, Jeremy (Erica) Osley, Matt (Shana) Osley, Nikki (Sergio) Montes and James (Tara) Lienlokken. She is further survived by eighteen great-grandchildren, Katie VanTol, Robin, James, Cherie and Dominique Smith, Kyra and Abe Osley, Parker and Gemma Osley, Abbye, Malachi, Jeremiah, Israel and Hope Aili, Faith and Aria Montes, Jimmy and Ava Lienlokken,two great-great grandchildren Joshua Roswurm and Grace Weiss. She is further survived by one brother Philip (Kay) Hamilton of California, a sister-in-law Bernice Hamilton of Texas, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends from the Gospel Hall of La Crosse.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 1990, her parents, a son Stephen in 2010, a sister, Lila Hamilton in 1934, a brother, Frank Hamilton in 2004, a grandson Curtis VanTol and a great granddaughter, Grace Rose Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse with Jerry Jennings officiating. Burial will be in the French Island Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.
