Imelda T. Wright

Imelda T. Wright, loving mother and wife, now rests in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. We celebrate her 90 years of life today upon her death on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. She was born in La Crosse, WI to Bernard and Cora (Kurtenacker) Dockendorff.
Imelda is survived by her four children Steve (Mary Ellen) Wright, Greg (Ellie) Wright, Theresa (Tom) White and Mary Fiers (Johnny Anderson). Mel has eight loving grandchildren, Stephanie, Jeffrey, Lily, Shannon, Lauren, Alan, Kristina and Holly, sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Richard ‘Dick’ Wright, five brothers Bernard, John, Rev. Paul, Rev. Carl and Mark Dockendorff and two sisters Marie Silha and Cecelia Davidson. The Dockendorff and Wright families, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from bowling and Forrester picnics, share many memories of good times for all of us. The family would like to thank long-time friend Ruth Kabat for her friendship throughout the years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman – Marian Chapel. Msgr. Charles Stoetzel will officiate. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman. Schumacher – Kish Funeral & Cremation Services, La Crosse Chapel is assisting the family.
