Linda A. Yancey, 57 of La Crosse died on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center. She was born May 15, 1957 in La Crosse to Dwain and Phyllis (Lamprich) Myer. Linda graduated from Bangor High School and later from WWTI with a degree in computer programming.
On October 18, 1986 she married Jack Yancey in Hokah, MN. Linda had worked for many years in the garment industry in La Crosse including L.B. White Co. She currently was employed by the Kwik Trip Corporation with whom she had worked both part time and full time since 2006. Linda loved quilting and camping.
In addition to her husband Jack, she is survived by her son, Jason Myer; her mother, Phyllis Myer of La Crosse; two sisters, Kathy (Bill) Kelemen and Jo Lynn Gagermeier both of La Crosse; a brother, J.R. Myer of La Crosse, many nieces and nephews and her dog, Buster. She was preceded in death by her father, Dwain Myer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 7th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. S. La Crosse with Rev. Scott Skogen officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 PM and again on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
