Jon R. Schneider

Jon R. Schneider, 47, passed away on Thursday January 29th, 2015 of respiratory failure, at his home.
Jon was born in Milwaukee, WI on November 14, 1967 to Lee G. and Patricia (Brost) Schneider. He attended St. Thomas More Catholic Grade School, Aquinas High School and also Marquette University.

Jon had a charismatic personality and a friendly smile and he could light up a room with his stories. He was an avid reader and enjoyed researching and reading about the history of music. His interests were wide and varied, from astronomy, to cooking, to animals, including his cat, Ina. But most of all he loved his music. He loved to listen to music and some of his favorite artists were Jerry Garcia and Wide Spread Panic. He also enjoyed playing the drums and the guitar.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Lorin Nickley of La Crosse, WI. Sister, Donna Schneider, of La Crosse, Brother, David (Kristine) Schneider of Bangor, WI, Nephews, Mikel Schneider of Onalaska, WI and Matthew Schneider of La Crosse, WI and special friends Susan and Kesenia Marten of Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father, Lee G. Schneider in 1978.

Visitation will be Thursday Feb 5th from 10:00 – 11:30 AM at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Homes in La Crosse. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:30 AM at the funeral home with Father Brian D. Konopa officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
